Travel Vaccinations and advice
Non-urgent advice: Travel vaccinations
Please plan ahead—our travel vaccination appointments are extremely limited.
We recommend starting preparations as early as possible, ideally six months before travelling. NHS guidance advises seeking travel health advice at least 4–6 weeks before departure. If you are travelling sooner, please still seek advice promptly.
Before requesting an appointment
1. Check your destination’s travel advice.
Visit TravelHealthPro to check vaccination recommendations for every country you will visit. You can also attend a private travel clinic for advice; charges may apply.
2. Check your vaccination history.
Look in your NHS App to see which vaccinations you have already had. If you are unsure or your record appears incomplete, submit an admin online triage request asking for your vaccination history. Reception can provide recorded information but cannot advise which vaccines you need.
3. Complete our travel vaccination form.
Use the link below and provide your destinations and which NHS travel vaccines you think you need or have been advised to have. A healthcare professional will confirm suitability before vaccination.
Which travel vaccines do we offer?
We provide hepatitis A, typhoid, cholera and polio free on the NHS when clinically appropriate. Polio is given as a combined tetanus, diphtheria and polio vaccine. You will not necessarily need all four.
We do not offer other travel vaccines, even privately. These must be arranged with a private travel clinic.
Appointment availability
If a suitable appointment is available, we will send you a booking link. Submitting a form does not guarantee an appointment.
We must protect nursing time for childhood immunisations, cervical screening and asthma reviews. We cannot rearrange urgent or time-sensitive care around holiday dates.
Please be aware that families may need separate appointments on different days. If our next available appointment falls after your planned departure, you will need to seek advice from a private travel clinic, which will incur charges
