Welcome to Kingswood Surgery
We are confident that our website will provide clear and concise help and give our patients the information they require in an easy and convenient format. It has been designed with the patient’s needs at the forefront of everything, from checking surgery times to letting us know what you think of us.
To stop coronavirus spreading we have been advised that patients DO NOT attend the doctors surgery without a prior booked appointment.
This is due to the need for us to triage patients before booking an appointment, to ensure that nobody with Coronavirus symptoms attends the surgery.
We have temporarily disabled the appointments available to book online for this reason. As ASK NHS is a triage service this will stay open If you need to request a prescription, please do this through our website or the NHS APP for anything else please call our reception team.
We thank you for your understanding at this very difficult time.
Coronavirus (2COVID-19) is a new respiratory illness that has not previously been seen in humans.
The risk of getting the illness in the UK is low.
INFORMATION FOR PATIENTS REGARDING
WUHAN NOVEL CORONAVIRUS INFECTION
All travellers who develop relevant symptoms ( for example respiratory symptoms, shortness of breath, cough, fever) however mild, within 14 days of returning or transitioning from mainland China, Thailand, Japan, Republic of Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia,Northern Italy or Macau should not attend the practice, but should remain at home and immediately call NHS 111 for advice. The latest information for members of the public can be found here:
What this means in practice
We are asking people to take simple, common-sense steps to avoid close contact with other people as much as possible, like they would with other flu viruses.
This means remaining at home for 14 days after arriving from Wuhan and not going to work, school or public areas including GP surgeries.
Where possible, you should avoid having visitors to your home, but it’s ok for friends, family or delivery drivers to drop off food.
You should not use public transport or taxis until 14 days after your return from Wuhan.
Getting food and medicine
We recommend that you stay at home for 14 days after arriving from Wuhan, and avoid public places. Where possible, contact a friend, family member or delivery services to carry out errands on your behalf.
Taking children to school
We recommend that you stay at home for 14 days after arriving from Wuhan, and avoid public places. Where possible, contact a friend or family member to take your children to school.
Why the advice has changed
This is an evolving situation and the advice has changed based on emerging information from China about the number of cases and spread of the infection from person to person.
This is a highly precautionary measure to limit the potential spread of infection.

CQC Report 2017 - GOOD
Kingswood Surgery had their initial inspection in June 2016. Since that time, many changes have taken place as a result of our inspection and we are continually striving to improve our patient services. This is assisted by our patient's giving us feedback, so please do complete our Friend & Family Test SMS Message or form, or alternatively contact the Surgery should you have any concerns.
In July 2019 CQC also awarded us with GOOD on every level.
